Most of us focus on looking forward to the new year. Shifting the focus to reviewing the year helped me savor my success, make peace with myself and give myself grace, and finally, when I acknowledge my mistakes, I learned not to repeat them and truly start changing.
Here are ten questions from Daisy U which will help you review your year intentionally and in a meaningful manner.
- What makes this year unforgettable?
- What did you enjoy doing this year?
- What/who is the one thing/person you are grateful for?
- What was your biggest win this year?
- What did you read/watch/listen to that made the most impact this year?
- What did you worry about most, and how did it turn out?
- What was your biggest regret, and why?
- What’s one thing that changed about yourself?
- What surprised you the most this year?
- If you could go back to last January 1, what suggestions would you give your past self?
Spare an hour, sit down, and ideally write this on paper, and share at least some of the answers here. You never know; your actions could be someone else inspiration.
